Goodbye and good riddance 2020 and welcome 2021!  It may be cold outside but there are plenty of indoor attractions open in the Brandywine Valley.

Another change for this winter is that Winterthur is staying open in January and February.  During these two months they are offering Weekend House Tours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11-2 PM.  You’ll see the entertaining spaces where  the du Ponts’ own friends and family were invited in the 1930s and 1940s.  Reservations are required so that they can maintain safe social distancing.  They are also offering garden walks and birding tours.  Have a sled and no safe place for sledding?  Winterthur offers Sledding Sundays in January and February from 11-2 in a designated safe sledding zone.  Check snow conditions and for other information here.

Now all you have to do is select your favorite room at Hamanassett and you are all set.  We are offering a Winter Special through April 15, 2021.  Stay with us any 3 nights that includes a Tuesday and Tuesday night is absolutely free.  If you can’t get away for 3 nights, stay 2 consecutive nights Sunday through Thursday and receive two free tickets to Longwood Gardens.  Remember, our winter special is only good for reservations made by phone  and you must mention it when making your reservation.  We are a Select Registry property and dog friendly.
