We’ll take our bragging rights any place we can get them and this is something to be proud of. Recently Scott Wade brought a tour from Longwood Gardens to our estate to show them our champion Eastern red cedar which is the tallest in Pennsylvania and was given a new ranking of 197. The last time it was measured was in 2009 and was 79.1 feet tall with a ranking of 195. For more information on champion trees in Pennsylvania visit the web site of Pennsylvania’s Big Trees. Our tree is listed under Juniper and Cedar trees. If you are interested in a tour to see the biggest and tallest and even help in measuring trees, the next tour will be through Longwood Gardens on October 6, 2016.
