The Christian C. Sanderson Museum will launch its 47th season in March.
Christian C. Sanderson was a teacher, fiddler, poet and a collector historical memorabilia and his museum houses his rich collection of Chadds Ford memorabilia and more.
Visitors can tour eight rooms in the country home and view items from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I and II and learn about the Battle of Brandywine.
Some of this year’s exhibits include:
- President Abraham Lincoln exhibit runs from April 16 through July 31
- World War I artifacts exhibit opens September 17
- Wine and Sign on March 27 and November 6
- Sanderson Summer Stories: “Li’l Dan, The Drummer Boy, a Civil War Story” by Romare Bearden with a recorded reading by Maya Angelou from 10 a.m. to noon on June 17
