Longwood Gardens Chrysanthemum Festival September 6 – November 23
Giant pumpkins, gourds, a riot of colors, and live concerts.
Newlin Grist Mill October 4 10 AM – 5 PM
Enjoy demonstrations of 18th century life. Your taste buds will be tantalized with the aromas coming from a wood burning bake oven and open hearth fire cooking demonstrations. There will also be artisans showing paper making, iron making, blacksmithing, and chair caning. Then you can join in with Colonial dancing and period games, enjoy a hay ride, and listen to Colonial music. There will even be cows, sheep, and chickens, oh my. And …..drum roill because you don’t hear this very often……….admission is free! Newlin Grist Mill in only two miles from Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast. I will definitely see you there.
