We offer the quiet of the countryside with free, safe parking within a 30-minute drive of Philadelphia and Wilmington including the Philadelphia airport and major sports venues such as Lincoln Financial Field (home of the Philadelphia Eagles), Citizens Bank Ball Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers, and PPL Park, home of the Philadelphia Union. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city during the day, and then return to clear skies and bright stars at night. We are close to popular local attractions such as Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Museum, Brandywine River Museum, Hagley Museum, the Nemours Mansion, the Tyler and Scott Arboretums, The Barnes Foundation, Delaware Art Museum, the Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, and Ridley Creek State Park.
We are dog friendly (no size or weight restrictions) in two rooms in the main house and both cottages as long as they keep their owners on a leash. Both the cottages have small fenced in yards. We also welcome small children age 8 and up in our vacation rentals, the Meadow Cottage and Carriage House. Please call about long-term (one week or more) stays. A fee of $50.00 per stay per room for our dog guests is charged to cover the cost of additional cleaning to ensure the comfort of future guests.

WATCH OUT FOR DEER!!! This time of year you need to be extra cautious. Mating season is from October to December. We are rural so chances are you will see deer. If you see a deer, slow down because they travel single file so if you see one be prepared for more to follow.
Hamanassett Bed & Breakfast is located just 10 miles north of Longwood Gardens and five miles south of Media.
FREE HIGH-SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET THROUGHOUT THE MAIN HOUSE, MEADOW COTTAGE, THE CARRIAGE HOUSE and outdoors. There is a guest computer on the desk in the billiard room for your use. Please note: all our guest rooms are on the second and third floor. There is no elevator or bellhop.
