Our Policies:
Rates: $180.00 - $550.00, plus 9% tax. Extra person charge of $50 plus tax per night applies for additional person above two in rooms that will accomodate 3 people. Rates quoted are discounted for multiple night stays. A single night, when available is $20.00 more.
Reservations: Most weekends require a two night minimum. Sunday night is not considered a weekend night and may be booked for a single night unless a holiday falls on it. Holidays and special event weekends may require a longer stay or have a longer cancellation period. Please call if you require a single night on a weekend as sometimes we are able to accommodate this. Any reservation made more than 3 months in advance will be accepted only with payment by check of 50% with the balance due by check 30 days in advance of arrival with a 30 day cancellation policy.
Deposits and Canellations: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of payment in full for stays of two nights or less, or 50% of your total for stays of three or more nights. If you book a longer stay within 10 days of your arrival payment in full will be required. You may pay with a personal check, traveler's checks, cash or major credit card at the time of booking. Please consider your reservation as final when it is made. Deposits are refundable, less a $25 service fee per night per room, if cancellation or rescheduling is made 10 days prior to your arrival. Cancellations or rescheduling made with less than 10 days notice will receive a refund only if we are able to book your room less the $25 per night cancellation or rescheduling fee. Major holidays have a 30 day cancellation policy. The carriage house and Meadow Cottage have a 30 day cancellation period when booked as a weekly or longer accommodation and a 10% of total cancellation. Please be assured we will do everything possible to rebook it. There is no refund for shortened stays. We recommend that all our guests protect themselves with travel insurance. Children: Children age 12 and up are welcome in the main house. Children 6 and up (or adults who just act childish) can be accommodated in the Carriage House or Meadow Cottage are welcome in The Meadow Cottage.
Pets:
Hamanassett happily welcomes quiet, non-aggressive canine companions when arrangements are made at the time of reservation. Dogs can be accommodated in the Carriage House, The Meadow Cottage, or The Cambridge in the main house. All pet guests must be completely free of fleas and ticks, be clean, well groomed and up to date on shots and vaccinations. Our pet friendly room has hard wood floors and a rug that can be removed when a dog is in residence. Please be aware that dogs are absolutely not allowed on furniture or in beds. If you would like to bring your dog as a guest, please call and speak with us. There is an additional $25.00 fee per night per dog. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the beds or on furniture.
Smoking and Candles: Regrettably, candles and incense may be romantic, but
the risk is measured on the Richter Scale. So please bring the new type of
flameless variety if you want candlelight. Because of the age of the house, and out of courtesy to our other guests, there is no smoking within the house. Considerate smokers may smoke on the front loggia and on the grounds. Fire Marshall does not allow open fires such as candles or incense in the bedrooms. We hope you will respect this rule, if not you will be charged an extra day's fee to give us time to clean and air out the room and be asked to leave.
Check-in and Check-out: To allow us time to get your room ready for your arrival, we request you plan to check in between 3 and 7 p.m. Arrangements can be made for later check in with advance notice. Your host would appreciate an estimated time of arrival. Check out time is 11 a.m.
